The Fertility Support Company works with patients receiving treatment from many top UK fertility clinics recognised by the Human Fertility and Embryology Association ( www.hfea.gov.uk).

Thorough assessments are made of your situation by the fertility clinic you attend upon first meeting, which may include checks for uterine killer cells, sperm antibodies and tracking cycles.

You will then be put on either a short or long protocol, and The Fertility Support Company will work responsively with the clinic to enhance and improve your responses.

Patients will have regular blood tests and ultrasounds done by their clinic which track the progress of their treatments, and they feed the results of these tests back to their acupuncturist at The Fertility Support Company, who will be able to respond if necessary. For example; if the endometrium is judged to be too thin or thick by the clinic, acupuncture treatment will be given. If there is not enough follicle growth, this can be stimulated further through acupuncture and the results of this will be seen between 3 and 4 days later. Our policy is only to treat where the clinic has identified a problem however, so if the judgement is made that things are progressing well, we will not adminsiter acupuncture.

Anecdotal evidence from the Company's practice shows that 80% of assisted reproductive procedures are successful first time after The Fertility Support Company's three month programme. It also shows that transfer treatments alone tend to improve success rates. Indeed a recent German study showed improvement in IVF outcomes when two sessions of acupuncture were added on the day of embryo transfer; 42% of the patients who received acupuncture achieved pregnancy compared to the group of patients who did not receive acupuncture where only 26% achieved pregnancy.
